When you have a concept to put forth that you know is beyond the boundaries of most peoples' experiences, find a way to visualize it through everyday life. In one case, the idea of 23,015 cubic yards of sludge had to be conveyed to a jury. To illustrate the concept, the amount of sludge was compared to a football field over twelve feet deep. Almost everyone, at sometime in life, has seen a football field and can relate to the enormous amount of sludge at issue.
