A perfect example of something that cannot be seen from the outside is a pier and beam portion of a building that is underground. The sample below was created to scale using the blueprints, which are included on the board along with an illustration of the building. There is no way to take a picture of this and, unless the viewer is an engineer, it is hard to visualize what a blueprint looks like built out.
